Objetos do Cotidiano Brasileiro (“Everyday Brazilian Objects”) is a 12-page illustrated zine that introduces nine commonplace objects that are found in many Brazilian homes. The zine pairs illustrations of each item with lighthearted definitions, which always include fun facts or little anecdotes about the object. An insightful but easy read, this zine is for anyone wishing to learn more or reminisce about Brazilian culture.
“Though Brazilian people may not own all the items listed, they certainly know someone who does. These objects are, in fact, not only part of the daily lives of people who live in Brazil but are imprinted in their minds, as each item brings many fond childhood memories.
As a Brazilian, I hope to share through text and illustrations the affection we Brazilian people have for these objects and what they say about our habits and history.”
