before the sun rose started as a collaborative project in the spring of 2020, combining both photography and short journal entries. With the start of the pandemic, which made it difficult to have it printed, the work was first presented as an online diary published on Tumblr, under the same title.
In the fall of 2020, before the sun rose was printed and hand-bound by the author into a single edition book.
